In short
Don't panic and don't ignore it. The next step is to find out if there is scarring, starting with a simple blood-test score called FIB-4.
An ultrasound shows fat but cannot measure scarring well. That is why the next tests matter more than the word "fatty" on the report.
- Ask your doctor to calculate your FIB-4 score
- Check blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol
- Tell your doctor how much alcohol you drink, honestly
- Start small lifestyle changes now
