Which drinks are good or bad for my liver?

In short

Water is best. Plain coffee may even help the liver. Sugary drinks and packaged juices are among the worst.

1 min read

Sugary drinks are high in fructose, which the liver turns into fat easily. Swapping them for water is one of the simplest changes you can make.

  • Good: water, plain coffee, tea without sugar, laban
  • Limit: fresh juice (eat the whole fruit instead)
  • Avoid: soft drinks, energy drinks, sweetened juices, sweet tea and coffee drinks
  • Alcohol: the less the better
